After being released by the Brazilian side Bahia, Freddy Adu joined Blackpool a few weeks ago but the club still has not agreed on making a club contract for the player who still is a free agent. Rumors are being spread around claiming that Blackpool has not made a contract for the American player simply because they have no interest in doing so.

Barry Ferguson is the manager of Blackpool and he spoke out trying to clear the air about what is happening with the situation of Freddy Adu.

Ferguson explained: “There is nothing happening with Freddy. He’s come in and worked hard with us. He is a great lad but I’m more than happy with what I’ve got. I have a strong squad.”

During the January transfer window Blackpool managed on signing Faris Haroun, Andy Keogh and Stephen Dobbie.

Faris Haroun arrived from Middlesbrough on a deal that will be seeing him remaining with Blackpool until the end of the current season. Andy Keogh was signed from Millwall on a loan deal which will end when this season comes to an end as well.

Stephen Dobbie is enjoying his 3rd loan spell at Blackpool but this time around, the 31 years old Scottish forward only agreed on staying with the team for 3 months.

All of these players have made their way on to the team of Bary Ferguson as they all were signed on loan deals which will last for a few months but it does not seem like the American player Freddy Adu has interested Blackpool enough for them to sign him and from the looks of it, Adu will remain being a free agent.
