BLACKPOOL STUN LEAGUE LEADERS HULL CITY

Blackpool recorded one of their biggest wins of the season following the victory over leaders Hull City in a week 18 clash in League One also known as the third level of English football. Blackpool stunned the Tigers to edge a five-goal thriller at Bloomfield Road on Tuesday night. The result ensured that they maintained their unbeaten run in the league. The Tangerines have now gone four games without defeat in the league with the last loss coming during the trip to Doncaster Rovers towards the end of last month. They were beaten 3-2 by Doncaster Rovers for their seventh league defeat of the season.


Hull City are still the leaders in League One despite their fifth league defeat of the season, which was inflicted upon them by Blackpool. The hosts had to come from behind to beat Hull City 3-2 and maintain their unbeaten league run in the month of December.

Mallik Wilks gave the Tigers the lead on 38 minutes and that advantage lasted for just seven minutes before Blackpoolequalised through Jerry Yates shortly before the whistle was blown to signal the end of the first half.The home team took the lead for the first time in the game through Keshi Anderson just before the midway point of the second half. Hull City defender Recce Burke then equalised for his team with one minute left on the clock only for the league leaders to concede the winning goal of the game in added courtesy CJ Hamilton. The late goal from CJ Hamilton condemned Hull City to a second successive league defeat and also extend their winless run to three games in League One. On the other hand, Blackpool are gradually moving up the table with the recent run of good results. They are without defeat in four league games.
