FA CUP: HARROGATE HANDED BLACKPOOL DRAW
League Two team Harrogate Townwould betargeting more history after they were drawn with a tough opposition in the second round of the FA Cup. The fourth-tierclub will face League One side Blackpool for a place in the FA Cup third round.

The draws for the FA Cup second round was made earlier this month and Harrogate Town has been given a home tie against former Premier League team Blackpool. The Tangerines were in the Premier League as recent as 2011.

Skelmersdale were beaten 4-1 by Harrogate Town in the FA Cup first round on Friday night. The Wetherby Road club are likely to face a tougher game in the second round as they attempt to make more history by reaching the third round of English football’s oldest cup competition.
League Two newcomers Harrogate Town have never reached the third round of the FA Cup since they were established over a century ago. The target for the minnows is to reach the FA Cup third round for the first time in their 106-year existence.
Harrogate Town have had a very good year following their promotion to the English Football League (EFL) some months ago.They won the 2019/20 National League playoffs to gain promotion into League Two.
Harrogate Town are currently in midtable on the 24-team League Two standings. They have won four, drawn three and lost four from the 11 games played. They are in 14th position with 15 points and four points off the last promotion playoff slot occupied by Cheltenham Town.
FA Cup opponents Blackpool are also in midtable on the League One standings. They are 12th on the table with 13 points from 11 matches.
