The Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has said that his players showed a lot of fighting spirit in the match against Hull city to win the match 3-2. It was one of the exciting matches of the Championship weekend after Blackpool managed to come back from a losing position with only a few minutes on the clock.
Speaking after the match, the Blackpool manager said that he could not find any fault with his players in terms of the fighting spirit because it was one of the main reasons for them to take all three points and bring an end to the two consecutive defeats they suffered in the previous matches.
Blackpool were coming into the match on the back off two losses against Cardiff city and Huddersfield town, which is almost certain that the promotion challenge from the club. However, this victory now means that they maintain their position closer to the play-offs in the table. Blackpool were trailing 2-1 in the match with only a handful of minutes remaining. Ian Holloway sent on the players Kevin Phillips and Nouha Dicko in the match. They scored a goal apiece to help Blackpool win the match 3-2 in the end.
"We didn't look like we were going to panic. We stepped up then. I felt the longer the game went on, the more chance we had of coming back. We're Blackpool and we keep going. I didn't feel like I did on Saturday [at Cardiff], where obviously we were 3-0 down, but it knocked the stuffing out of us and it could have knocked a huge hole in what we're trying to do, but I don't think it did," said Ian Holloway after the match. Blackpool will be looking to win the next match against Charlton athletic enough to remain in touch with the play-off contenders.
