Ian Holloway has said that he is very much delighted to have the services of in-form winger Matt Phillips back in his squad. Even though Matt Phillips was not up to his best during the initial parts of the campaign, he has since recovered to score six goals in as many games, and has risen to become one of the important members of the squad.

Ian Holloway has said that he is delighted to have him at the club. After seeing him struggle for form at the start of the seaason, Holloway took the brave decision of sending the winger on loan to Sheffield United. The loan move proved to be a great decision for both the club and the player, as Matt Phillips quickly rediscovered his ability to not only score goals, but to also set up them as well.

Now, he has returned to the Blackpool squad after completing his loan spell, and was in the squad for the match against Middlesbrough - a match that Blackpool managed to draw in the final few minutes due to the brilliance of Matt Phillips. The winger set up Jonjo Shelvey, who then converted his cross with aplomb.

The goal earned Blackpool a well deserved a 2-2 draw, as they keep up their race for finishing in the play-off position.

Speaking to the media after the draw with Middlesbrough, Ian Holloway said "I am so pleased for Matt - he's a great person as well as a great player, so he deserves it. He has returned and has that little bit of confidence back."

Ian Holloway praised Sheffield United for giving him the opportunity to play.
