Blackpool manager Gary Bowyer admitted a sense of frustration over his side’s performance against Gillingham despite picking up a 3-0 win. The Seasiders dominated the proceedings during the first period and goals from Kyle Vassell and Nathan Delfouneso saw them secure a 2-0 lead prior to the interval.

However, following the break, Jay Spearing failed to convert a penalty to finish the game and this offered Gillingham the initiative to put pressure, though they could not capitalise in the form of a goal. Eventually, the game was put to bed by substitute Kelvin Mellor in the 83rd minute but Bowyer felt his players could have killed the match much earlier.
